Patriots Notes: Pro Bowl, Bad Call
Refs Admit Mistake in AFC Championship Game
Who really cares… but….
The refs have admitted that they made a mistake by calling a pass interference on Ellis Hobbs in the second half of last sundays game. The following play, Peyton Manning scored a touchdown.
This was the turning point of the game for the Colts…
But this news makes no difference. It just gets me more frusturated, and further laments the fact that the Patriots should have won their game. But of course they didn’t
Pro Bowl Update
So, Belichick, the coach of the AFC team, took a LS to the Pro Bowl instead of Asante or Warren. No, it wasn’t Lonie Paxton, it was someguy I’ve never even heard of (I’ll get his name later). Plus, Seymour is out injured for the game. Its official, I’m not even going to watch.
Super Bowl Prediction
Bears 46 Colts 10
(Yes, I picked that score on purpose although that’s not what I believe)

You really should review your facts and make corrections to this tainted blog. Just because you hear some misinformation on a Jaguars website, it doesn’t mean that the information is the gospel. Proof is in the pudding, baby!

As for the ‘Patriots should have won the game’ comment…Welcome to the real world… The rest of the thirty-one teams in the NFL have been waiting for your arrival and now that the luck-pool has run dry you can now join the group of teams less fortunate. Good luck to your aging, washed-up-has-beens in ’07. Cheers.

What are you talking about? I didn’t get the article from a Jaguars site???
I actually got the source from the AP Wire. NFL.com and Patriots.com both had the articles, and they are reliable, unbiased sources.
My website isn’t tainted. I get facts, or rumors, from clarified, reliable sources, and I post them. Sure, I’m biased, no doubt, I’m a Pats fan just like the majority of the people that visit hit. I’m okay with hearing biased, but I don’t like the word tainted, because that’s implying that I’ve fabricated information, which I don’t do.
Quote:
“I talked to Dean Blandino in the league office and he confirmed what you’re saying,” wrote Ketchman. “Ellis Hobbs should not have been flagged for pass-interference. He didn’t make contact with the receiver and in no way did Hobbs impede Reggie Wayne’s ability to catch the pass. Blandino confirmed that the incorrect call was made. … Referee Bill Carollo made no reference to face-guarding in his explanation, but CBS analyst Phil Simms did. Apparently, he, too, doesn’t know the rule no longer exists. The next time you hear a TV analyst say, ‘he wasn’t playing the ball,’ think of the Hobbs play, then turn down the sound.”
I shouldn’t have said the Patriots should have won the game. I should’ve said they had an oppurtunity to win and they let it slip through their fingers.

I do commend you for this site and your constant upkeep. I have a tendency to lump all Patriot fans together in a fungi riddled cesspool. You clearly are a true Patriot fan that didn’t jump the bandwagon after 2001. However, the above mentioned article claiming B.S. on the Hobbs pass interference penalty was originally written from a columnist on Jaguars.com. Mr. Ketchman works for the Jaguars and is a noted Colt-basher. He is extremely bias and is just another in a long line of people working in and around the NFL that prints stories that just aren’t true.
For the record…I am not a Colts fan… I am a die-hard Dolfan. I do have a deep hatred for the whole Patriots organization. Some say that hating another team is sour grapes, but I call it one of my duties in life. I have always hated the Patriots, even when they were treading the bottom of the AFC East for most of the nineties. Now, with their recent success my hatred has grow to epic proportions and I long for the day that the Pats are once again planted in the cellar of the division.
With that said…I wish you continued success with the blog and hopefully the Patriots fans will continue to support the franchise after two straight exits from the playoffs.

Dear Josh Howard,
I have a few things that I would like to tell you. Number one, my brother’s site is reliable with real facts and doesn’t copy articles from Jaguars .com! Number 2, This article is old and this is a season old (currently February 1st, 2008). Congrats on the Dolphin 1-15 season! By the way, we now have a guy by the name of Wes Welker from your squad!!! Hahahaha!!! Number three, you might want to take back the following quote, “The rest of the thirty-one teams in the NFL have been waiting for your arrival and now that the luck-pool has run dry you can now join the group of teams less fortunate. Good luck to your aging, washed-up-has-beens in ’07. Cheers.” You were wrong then and you are wrong now! These “washed-up-has-beens” are 18-0 and head for Superbowl XLII against the New York Giants. How do you like them apples Josh?
Sincerely,
Jacob Knopping (Greg’s little bro)
P.S. Thanks for the apology.
