the pats should go get daunte and bring him in to see what he can do i think he can't do as bad a cassel.daunte is a starter and of course knows how to get the ball to moss.makes alot of cents to me and would make other teams defense respect the deep ball.right now there is no other option wake the hell up pats.chris simms could have been here for nothing

I too agree the Pats should sign Culpepper. Although Cassel played a decent game in Brady's absence, it was against a low calibre Chiefs D. Cassel probably could get them 10 wins & the playoffs with the soft schedule the Patriots have but to get further they'll need an experienced vet like Daunte to do it. He knows the game & worked well with Moss when they were in Minny. I also remember when Bledsoe went down & an unproven Brady came in & took them to the promised land, it was a magical year that long suffering Pat fans will never forget. I'm not saying it can't happen again with Cassel, but I'd sign Culpepper, you can't lose. They'll probably sign him after the Jets game as to not put added pressure on Cassel to perform on Sunday.
Anyway, I wish the Patriots the best & Godspeed to Tom Brady in his recovery.
GO PATRIOTS !!!

Cassel was absolutely horrible. He made one good pass out of the end-zone when they were on the 1 yard line. His pass to Moss was awful, it was high and tumbled. He was also up against a terrible, terrible defense with 18 rookies on the field. We need a veteran. I am starting to wonder about the coach and these ridiculous decisions to stick with a guy who chokes and a rookie. I would not even meet with Simms and would make a call to Daunte.

SIGN CULPEPPER! YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH THOSE 2. THEY WERE A DYNAMIC DUO IN MINNESOTA AND RANDY HAS BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PATS TO REUNITE THEM TOGETHER. CASSEL WAS GREAT AFTER BRADY'S INJURY, BUT CULPEPPER IS A VETERAN-CALIBER PLAYER THAT CAN GET IT DONE GAME IN-AND GAME-OUT.

Daunte would be an awesome back up to Brady because he has history and experience with Randy Moss but he still has the goods to be a solid starter i cant figure out why no teams have taken him yet. If he aint signed by the season oprner the Pats should take him on as a back up for the season.

Culpepper has too much talent to be a backup QB despite his injuries involving his knee.
