The Future or Bust?
Posted Under: Uncategorized

Right now, Chad Jackson’s career is on the line. Despite the fact that he was a highly touted second round pick last year, he could still be a roster cut with the jam the Patriots have at receiver. Jackson has the potential to be a top threat in the league, and showed some flashes of that last season. Maybe, better worded is that Jackson had the potential. A torn ACL is the hardest injury for a football player to come back from, and takes 2 years until a player is back in the groove. Jackson doesn’t have that time. I am still hyped about Jackson, but I stress that these next three weeks are the most important of his career. If he can stay healthy, show some consistency, he could beat out Reche Caldwell/Troy Brown/Kelley Washington for a roster spot. Chad Jackson could be the future for this team, but will he ever actually become that?

I wish I could say I liked Chad Jackson but he’s played all of, what, 5 minutes? I think he might just be the biggest bust in the Belichick-Pioli reign.
