Patriots Notes: Injury update, Captain Report, Seymour Rumor

I didn’t get to update yesterday, and some interesting things have happened between then, and now.  First, the Patriots named seven captains.  What stood out to me, was that the captains were decided on by a team vote.  They were as follows: Mike Vrabel, Tom Brady, Kevin Faulk, Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Ty Warren, and Larry Izzo.

There were also some updates to the injury report.  Today, Tom Brady had limited participation in practice, as well as Mike Wright.  Wright was listed as questionable, however Brady was listed as probable.  Rashad Baker and David Thomas were both listed as questionable, but also fully participated in practice.

There is also a rumor going around that is quite alarming.  Profootballweekly.com is reporting that Richard Seymour may be headed to the injured reserve.  Right now, I would just treat this as pure rumor and speculation.  I doubt Belichick would place him on PUP if he knew Seymour would definately be going on IR.  Still, there hasn’t been much update on Seymour since he got knee surgery.
