Why Isn't Josh McDaniels Considering Head Coaching Jobs?
This is from the Washington Times, talking about the vacant Redskins head coaching position:
Fassel remains the front-runner even as Snyder reportedly plots a plan to chat with former San Francisco and Detroit coach Steve Mariucci and Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Those close to New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels don’t expect him to pursue the Redskins’ opening.
Why isn’t McDaniels pursuing any head coaching positions? Trust me, I’m happy. I think that McDaniels should eventually become the head coach when Belichick retires. And that had me thinking. What if McDaniels knows something we don’t know. What if Belichick is walking away (assuming the Patriots win), and he has just about been guaranteed the job?
It’s just a conspiracy, there is no base behind this, whatsoever. I like McDaniels a lot, and I think he brings a fresh feel to not only the offense, but the entire team.

Why does everyone dispise the pats and call them cheaters without stopping to think? (cough…cough…Mike) Anyway… I love Josh McDaniels and hopefully he will suceed Bellichick but, I want Bellichick as long as possible. He turned the franchise around and is now leading us to our 4th Super Bowl apearence in seven years.

Answer is Josh feels obligated to Belichick for giving him an opportunity(not like Mangini)., and must also think he’s not ready (which he isn’t). I personnally wouldn’t bother me if he left, I’m not a McDaniels guy..,In the past three years, I haven’t liked his play calling, too predicable, wrong situation calls, don’t think he’s that good. If Josh suceeds Belichick., “maybe” at that point he’d be ready, certainly no Charlie or Bill, and don’t think he could bring them to the promise land.
