Chad Johnson Wants to Be a Patriot

I can’t believe I missed this.  From the Boston Globe:

“It would be fun; I would love to play there,” he said. “But right now, I’m in Cincinnati. That’s where I am.”

Johnson, one of the NFL’s top pass catchers, doesn’t seem happy about that.

As part of his role as a pitchman for Degree, the personable and outspoken Johnson conducted several interviews at Super Bowl media headquarters yesterday, and it wasn’t difficult to detect the frustration he’s experiencing with the Bengals. He was passively campaigning for a trade.

At least Chad Johnson wants to come here.  However, I can’t quite envision a deal that would get him here.  Maybe we could pick up Donte Stallworth’s option, and trade him to the Bengals along with this year’s 2nd round pick, or a 2008 first round pick.

Just imagine Johnson and Moss on the outside with Welker and Gaffney working underneath.  It would be unstoppable.  If there were no injuries, I could guarantee that this team would score 40+ PPG.

Reader Comments

You’re assuming that Randy Moss will even be a Patriot next year.

Do you really want Chad Johnson and Randy Moss on the same team? Hahahah, that would be great for me (A Colts fan) because of all the chaos those two would cause playing together. Hell, why not try to get T.O. while you’re at it. That would really be funny!!

As we speak….the GGGGGGGGG-MEN are strolling down the Canyon of Heroes, with the ticker tape falling and chants of 18-1 and Boston Sucks. Aint life grand.

Meanwhile, Brady is cuddling with Giselle, Moss is hitting women, and Bill “Sore loser” Bellichick is throwing out all his red cut up hoodies.

GO GIANTS!

Don’t feel so bad Patriots fans…after all, you were 18 59/60’s and 0. By the way…there are only 29 weeks until the Giants play the Patriots in the Pre-Season…and I hear NOBODY beats Belichick when he has 29 weeks to prepare. Also…you should be content. The Universe is back in balance…New Yorkers feeling proud and resilient…Bostonians feeling beaten and bowed. The 3 1/2 year anomaly…where deviant was normal…where down was up…where wrong was right…where laggards were front runners…is over. By the way…you can catch the Giants Tickertape Parade on Sportscenter at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy!

The Patriots are the most arrogant and self centered team in the league. Everyone outside of New England hates them….not for their winning, but for their showboating and their cockiness. Harrison, Asante, and the list goes on.

As Mike Tyson said….everyones got a plan until they get punched in the face.
And the Giants threw haymaker after haymaker all night long and Brady felt every one of them. Such a sweet win.

Giants will suck next year: 9-7, 10-6, out in the wildcard

Luckiest fluke in football history

We’ll be back next year, don’t you worry

Bwahhahahahahahahaha. Giants could go 0-16 next year. Doesn’t change the fact that your mighty Patriots choked up one of the biggest upsets in sports history and got manhandled by them. THEY STOMPED YOU OUT!!

And bitter boy…..flukes don’t beat the Cowboys, Packers, and Pats…all on the road.
Keep tellin yourself its a fluke. Whatever helps you sleep better.

You WISH you had the Giants defensive line. Yours is about 2 years shy of checking into the retirement home.

Choked is not the right term, because that would be disrespectful to the Giants. The Giants flat out beat the Patriots. There is no other way to put it. Pats fans should not even bother trying to rationalize what happened.

The Patriots will unfortunately be remembered for what they couldn’t accomplish in the Super Bowl rather than what they did during the regular season. End of story.

I love all you morons from NY…Flat out beat them…..there is nothing to rationalize. It was a good game, both teams played hard, the Giants took advantage of the Pat’s missed opportunities. Once again if SAMUEL catches that ball….GAME OVER!!!!

THAT IS NOT A STOMPING, THAT IS LUCK….it went their way at the end…you idiots think it was 42-10 or something….it was 17-14, and 14-10 with 2 minutes to go…was I watching a different game?

Not to mention! Giants dont pick Favre off, they arent even in the ball game! It was a good run for them….

Now, lets say Samuel holds on to that ball…now ELI IS THE GOAT, THAT IS HOW CLOSE THIS WAS…and you NY fans would have ripped him for it…..

Congradulations to the Giants, they beat us fair and square, but it was in no way a stomping. The Pats missed a few opportunities that, if they were taken advantage of (a Samuel interception, a sack on Eli, etc…), would have brought a fourth ring to Foxburo. We will be back again next year with a vengence, so don’t get too excited Patriot haters. I think getting Ocho Cinco would be a great idea, but we would have to keep Moss to make it work…

Chad is nothing short of a load mouthed PUNK! I say he should be a Patriot – that way when they CHOKE again, they can pull the dick out of Chad’s mouth to have something to teeth on. That’s right, bunch of god damned babies who got their lil’ asses kicked in this year’s pretend Super Bowl. After the ass whoop, they had to be clothed and diapered by their respective mommies cause they shit their panties.

Tom CryBaby, Bill Belledick, Chad and the rest of the CHEATERS deserve one another…….

i do believe this isnt a “i hate the patriots” thread nor that kind of forum, go away trolls and do your business elsewhere

i think that getting Johnson would boost the offense beyond imagining
remember before ocho cinco got his concussion him and moss were neck and neck in the rankings
