Patriots Sign T.J. Slaughter

The Patriots have announced the signing of veteran linebacker T.J. Slaughter.  The deal is worth the veteran minimum of $730,000.

Although it is minor, I really like this signing.  Slaughter has some experience at inside linebacker in the 3-4, and could compete for a backup job at training camp.  And, as you know, competition is always good.

Slaughter, 30, most recently played for the 49ers, and on his career has 184 tackles, two sacks, four forced fumbles, and one interception.

You forgot to add, “…and one kick-ass name.” ;)
