Rodney's Coming Back

The Boston Herald reports:

Hundreds of fans who approached Rodney Harrison during yesterday’s autograph signing at BC Sports Collectibles in the Mall at Rockingham Park were clear in their message.

Aside from thanking Harrison for a great year, there was something else on their minds. They didn’t want him to retire, and many of the autograph seekers conveyed that sentiment during the few moments they shared with the veteran Patriots safety.

While Harrison didn’t make his intentions known to the well-wishers, he later revealed what everyone wanted to hear: He’s coming back – eager to atone for the 17-14 loss in Super Bowl XLII to the New York Giants.

“Right now, at this point, I feel like I’m going to honor the last year of my contract,” said the 35-year-old. “Everyone’s asking me about retirement. I don’t know what to say about it. I haven’t said anything publicly about wanting to retire or anything like that. I’m very hungry to get back to working out and be a part of this team, and try to win another championship.”

So, one question is answered.  The whole time, I felt like Harrison would return for the 2008.  Rodney, as he stated, has never even mentioned retirement.  He still wants to play, and now, he wants redemption for losing the Super Bowl.

Giants suck! 18-1 was a fluke! Next year will be 19-0! Go Patriots!

hopefully Rodney’s is just there to get Brandon Merriweather ready to play for season to come. Rodney need to teach him the ins and outs to play safty. I think Rodney understands that two and I hope thats what is going to happen.

Wow. I really envy the people that have enough free time and nothing better to do than spam an opposing team’s blog.

Get a hobby. And maybe a girlfriend. Or a life.

Of course rodney will be back. you can’t just go around poking people in the eye during everyday life. on the football field he can get away with it.
