When Tom Brady went down for the season, a lot of people were expecting Laurence Maroney to shoulder the load of the offense (he was widely expected to have a breakout season anyways.) However, so far, this hasn’t been the case.
After a decent opening game against the Chiefs, Maroney came out soft against the Jets, going [...]
Today, one of the greatest players in Patriots history, Troy Brown, announced his retirement. Troy Brown spent 15 seasons in the NFL, all with the Patriots. Drafted in the eighth round out of Marshall in 1993, Brown was primarily a kick and punt returner, until recording 41 receptions and 6 touchdowns in 1997. In 2001, [...]
Today the Miami Dolphins trounced the New England Patriots 38-13 using a radical playbook which made the New England defense look lost. The defense gave up 461 yards of total offense, 216 of which on the ground to the combo of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Miami coach Tony Soprano… I mean, Tony Sparano won [...]

Today, the Miami Dolphins will take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
While this could be an easy win for the Patriots, the Patriots can’t take the ‘Fins for granted. Miami will throw everything at Cassel, and will hope to pressure him into mistakes.

I really can’t stress how important Sunday’s win was for the Patriots.
For the first time in over a year, the Patriots were actually underdogs. They were counted out. “Analysts” across the country were taking the Jets, stating that they were now the team to beat.
The Jets the team to beat? Wow. What people seem to [...]
The defense was effective when necessary. Cassel played mistake free. Lamont Jordan is a beast. Favre got sacked.
I’ve gotten a lot of complaints over the last few months that the depth chart needed updating, because it really did. So, I’ve finally gotten around to updating it, doing my best to get it as accurately as possible.
You can check it out HERE.
How quickly things can change.
A week ago, I would have predicted a blow out in a game that wouldn’t have big ramifications. However, now, week 2 looks to be a very pivotal game.
If I look up and down the depth chart for both teams, it goes without saying that the Patriots match up well with [...]
It’s not Chris Simms, nor Daunte Culpepper. The Patriots made a move to bolster their quarterback depth by signing Matt Gutierrez to the practice squad.
Gutierrez won’t be on the active roster, but he can always be activated if the Patriots see fit. There were rumors yesterday that Gutierrez would be returning, but I didn’t want [...]
A year ago to the day it was Spygate, now its a National Football Tragedy. Only the most depraved Jets fans (and others) are revelling in this, a major loss to the NFL on the same level as Tiger Woods’ latest injury on the PGA tour. But this ain’t no PGA tour but the most [...]
