Broken Bone in Brady's Foot?

WEEI is reporting that an August MRI revealed a broken bone in Tom Brady’s foot.  Whether this is true, and the impact this could have is yet to be determined.  This news comes just a little more than a week after ESPN reported that Brady had a deep bone bruise in his right foot.

I can’t make any statements or assumptions at least until the practice report comes out later today.  At that point, we will be able to see what kind of impact the injury has had on Tom Brady’s ability to practice.

At the beginning of the whole Brady injury talk, I was one of the major skeptics.  I thought that there was no serious injury, that Brady had been overworked last season, and was trying to preserve energy by not playing in the preseason.  However, after the numerous rumors and reports, I’m beginning to think this injury could be more serious than I had originallly thought.  Consider that yesterday, Don Banks published this report saying that Tom Brady is probably playing hurt.

Whatever the case, Patriots fans can only cross their fingers, hoping that Brady is okay, and that if all else fails, Matt Cassel is ready to put down the clip board, and strap on the helmet.
