The Patriots sent home both Chris Simms and Tim Rattay yesterday, both without a workout. Adam Schefter reports:
The mysterious Patriots keep getting more mysterious.
They brought in quarterbacks Chris Simms and Tim Rattay on Monday. Once they arrived, they were told the situation had changed and they no longer were needed.
So Simms and Rattay left Foxborough, Mass., [...]
Flustered. Angered. Scared. Confused.
These are probably the emotions of a lot of Patriots fans today. With news coming out of Foxborough that Patriots’ future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady is going to injured reserve, there is understandably a lot of worries as well as a lot of questions that need answering.
How Serious is Tom [...]
As expected, the Daunte Culpepper rumors have begun. Pro Football Central reports:
Sources have told Pro Football Central ( yes the same source who told us about the Brady news first and that was dead on accurate) that quarterback Daunte Culpepper has not yet filed his retirement papers into the league and that already Patriots WR [...]
The Patriots made this official release:
“After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of yesterday’s game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season.”
This release just confirms reports [...]

Wow, it feels real good to be making one of these up again. Real good.
After more than six months of waiting, the Patriots will finally take the field again, when they defend their home turf, taking on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at 1:00 PM.
On paper, and in Vegas, the Patriots are heavily favored. [...]
Despite reports that an August MRI left a crack in Tom Brady’s right foot, Patriots coach Bill Belichick expects Brady to play Sunday against the Chiefs. In a conference call with reporters, Belichick stated:
“He’s practicing and I expect he’ll be ready to go.”
While it’s great news that Brady will be playing, you have to wonder [...]
