In my second post on the draft, I will take a look at some of the picks that the Patriots may hold heading into the 2009 draft.
Currently, they have:
1st Round – own pick, proj: 21-32
2nd Round – from Chargers, proj: 45-55
2nd Round – own pick, proj: 57-64
3rd Round – own pick, proj: 89-96
4th Round – [...]
It was really a solid game on both sides of the ball, but big plays almost cost the Patriots a victory. With the win, and Buffalo’s loss, the Patriots sit at the top of the AFC east, tied with the Bills at 5-2. Here were a few of my thoughts from the game:
Great game from [...]
Sorry for the very late preview guys, but I thought I’d put it up anyways:
Three weeks ago, when I looked at the schedule, I checked Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams off as an automatic win. Then, their head coach, Scott Linehan, was fired, and things turned around. They defeated two powerhouses in the [...]
With all of the worry, hype, and wonder surrounding the infection of Tom Brady’s knee, I have been unable to keep up with every break in the story. With that, I give you the major headlines over the last day:
The Boston Herald reports that Tom Brady has undergone two more procedures to help clear the [...]
Monday night’s game against the Broncos truly highlighted how big the Patriots’ rookies have been this season. Jerod Mayo, Terrence Wheatley, Shawn Crable, Kevin ‘Connell, Jonathan Wilhite, Matt Slater, Bo Ruud, Gary Guyton, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Vince Redd, Ryan Wendell, Mark Dillard, and Tyson DeVree are all rookies that the Patriots have on their team, via [...]
I think everyone knew it was coming, but no one wanted to hear it. NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports:
It did not look good Monday night when Patriots safety Rodney Harrison dropped to the ground, and it is not.
Harrison suffered a season-ending, and potentially career-ending, torn quad muscle.
Harrison, who turns 36 in December and whose contract [...]
Although analyzing game tape is one of the most effective ways of breaking down a team’s performance, looking at stats is another. After trouncing the Broncos 41-7, there are a lot of big numbers to look at this week.
136.3: Matt Cassel’s Quarterback Rating – I think this reflects Matt Cassel growth as a quarterback. He [...]
This report comes from Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com. However, keep in mind, he does like to create football related drama:
In response to recent reports and analysis regarding the infection that developed in the surgically-repaired knee of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, we’ve gathered from our vast array of sources (i.e., Google) some additional information regarding the [...]
Wow. Talk about a big confidence win for the Patriots. I can’t really say enough about the game, except to say that it was a really big win. Here are a few thoughts I had:
Wait… I have to put down the kool-aid, give me a sec.
Burp! Oops
I really think that this win puts the Patriots [...]
The Patriots jumped out really strong against the Broncos, forcing and recovering fumbles on the Broncos first two possessions.
Sammy Morris? He’s looked good, but who would have thought he would run for 138 yards in the first half
Tale of the tape: four forced turnovers
Ellis Hobbs had two great breakups on passes intended for Brandon Marshall
Stephen [...]
