Week Six Snapshot: Patriots Bolted 30-10
Definitely the most lackluster performance of the season. The Patriots were really outmatched.
The Chargers’ receivers were too big for our corners; outmatched on the outsides with run coverage safeties, Phillip Rivers was able to pick apart the Pats’ defense.
Cassel really played ineffectively. I felt he gave up on too many plays. He just isn’t putting enough on the ball, underthrowing Moss on multiple occassions. Sometimes he really does look uncomfortable in the pocket. I’m not giving up on him at all, but it is beginning to get a little frustrating watching him being constantly flustered.
The only positives I saw were Faulk/Morris, as well as the defensive line. Ellis Hobbs continues to hold his own as well.
Overall, just a really tough loss. However, if we know anything about Bill Belichick, we know he can bounce back from losses like this.
