DeAngelo has cleared waivers and it looks like it's down to the Giants, Redskins and Patriots for possible suitors. Hopefully a decision comes soon and I would love to see him come to New England.

Hall would be a huge pickup for the Patriots. The reason why Hall failed in Oakland was because they played almost exclusively man coverage. That's possible for one side of the field with Nnamdi Asomugha, who is perhaps the best CB in the league. He can play exclusively man coverage and thrive. DeAngelo Hall, on the other hand, showed he's not a great, even good, man coverage corner.

Enter: Bill Belichick. In Bill's defensive scheme, CBs play mostly in zone coverage and Hall has got the awareness and ball skills to thrive in New England. And like you said, the kid is only 24 years old. If we could sign him to a 3-year deal for a low base salary with incentives up and down the contract, we could have ourselves a great CB that could earn his money with his play.
