Wide Receiver Suddenly a Need

And just like that, wide receiver is a serious are of need.

Earlier today, former Patriots wide receiver Jabar Gaffney reached terms with the Denver Broncos on a three year agreement.

Gaffney was never the flashiest receiver, but he always got the job done.  He was versatile, could get the job done anywhere on the field (slot or outside).  People may have been hard on him for that dropped pass against Indy this year, but he had some pretty nice catches throughout his Patriots career.  Who can forget how he broke out in the 2006 playoffs when the Patriots had previously been relying on Reche Caldwell.

Jabar, you will be missed.  Thanks for the memories.  Devery Henderson anyone?

I think Bobby Engram could be a target for the Pats. If not then it definitely should be. Henderson would basically replace Stallworth from two years ago and would be a great fit, obviously.
