Patriots Select Tyrone McKenzie
In another solid pick by the Patriots, the New England Patriots selected South Florida inside linebacker Tyrone McKenzie with the 97th overall selection.
McKenzie is another high motor, great character player. He has good range and instincts, is versatile, and has good size and strength, although he doesn’t play too physical at the line of scrimmage.
McKenzie could be a contributor from day one, and will challenge Gary Guyton for playing time on the inside. Ultimately, he could be a candidate to take over for Tedy Bruschi after he retires.
