In roster news, the Patriots have made the release of Matt Gutierrez and signing of quarterback Andrew Walter official.

Walter hasn’t had much success in the league, but apparently Belichick saw something he liked in him when he worked him out.
Also, the Boston Globe is reporting that veteran defensive end Kevin Carter is scheduled to visit the Patriots on Tuesday. Carter, at 6-6 and 305 pounds, has never missed a game in his 14 year career, and has the prototypical size and strength for a 3-4 defensive end. He also adds some pass rush ability, meaning he could play on third downs. My only worry with the signing of Carter is what it could mean for another injured Patriot – defensive end Ty Warren.

Gutierrez had no business being on the roster, but Andrew Walter may not either. And as I said before, Kevin Carter is great to add to the depth of our defensive line.

Andrew Walter is the worst quaterback I’ve ever seen play. I agree with R1ZZO23 I think Gutz is a lot better at least he knows the system.
