Mike Vrabel – Tied for the team lead in tackles, generating a consistent pass rush throughout the game. Has been playing much more consistently since Adalius Thomas went down with injury.

Wes Welker – 12 receptions for 134 yards. Several key first downs on the last drive. Wes Welker has really proven that while pure speed and size are nice, route-running and agility are just as important.

Tyson DeVree – DeVree saw the field for the first time this year, and helped to pave the way for the Randy Moss touchdown.

Mike Wright – Moved to nose tackle after Wilfork went down, and did a pretty good job filling in. Same goes with LeKevin Smith at the defensive end spot.

Brandon Meriweather – Four tackles and the game winning strip sack. Did you hear him in the post game interview? He is definitely a pupil of Belichick. And while some people believe he is struggling, I think he is certainly proving himself worthy of that first round pick.

Stock Down

Deltha O’Neal – Benched in favor of the rookie, Jonathan Wilhite. Clearly, Belichick has lost a lot of confidence in him.

David Thomas – Again, didn’t play, as he was inactive… being benched by the rookie free agent Tyson DeVree.

James Sanders – Played poorly in the first half despite several good games before this.

Even

Junior Seau and Rosevelt Colvin – Both played a lot more than expected, and both had some flashes, but nothing great. I’ll give them both the benefit of the doubt here.

Matt Cassel – Seemed a little inaccurate throughout the day, but showed poise and promise in leading the comeback for the Patriots.

Randy Moss – Had a decent day, pulling in three catches for nearly sixty yards including the one long ball from Cassel. And while the Patriots tried to involve him a lot, he was blanketed throughout much of the game.
